There is a story about the day Jesus Ascends into heaven. He still has all the marks of his passion and death, so that when he enters heaven everyone is shocked at the amount of suffering he must have gone through. Everyone falls on their knees and is crying. Michael asks him if everyone on earth is aware of all that he suffered.
Jesus told him, "NO there is only a small group around Jerusalem that know."
When he is pressed on how everyone will get to know, Jesus tells them, "I trust Peter, James and John and the disciples will tell the world."
"What if they get too busy, dejected, tired or killed?"
" Then those who they tell will have to pick up the slack." said Jesus.
" Do you have a back up plan?"
"No, I entrust them with the Kingdom as it was entrusted to me. No back up plans."Jesus replied.
You are the plan, are you continuing to tell the world who he is and what he has done? Luckily we do not have to do it by ourselves.
Happy Ascension--now we pray for nine days (novena) for the coming of the Spirit without whom we can do nothing.
