Disaster/Incarnation

Megan Mckenna tells the story of a young father who was climbing the corporate ladder pretty quickly and wanted to have his business associates over for dinner. His fear was his young five year old son, who was a bit of a handful. His table manners were anything but gentile. After working with him for weeks on table etiquette, he decided they were going to try for the big dinner. All things began well. His son the perfect gentleman, introducing himself and being quiet. By the time the meal began the young man was starving and the bread basket looked inviting and close enough for him to reach. However it was a bit of a stretch and first went his glass of water; when he pulled back in alarm he spilt the glass of wine of the person next to him into the bread. He then looked to his father, horrified. When the father saw the stricken look of fear on his sons face, he reached over spilled his own water glass and his wine, smilled at his son and said let's clean this up together.

Our God and Father does not want fear, but open hearts that are willing to clean the mess up together with him. Merry Christmas!
